This month Cape Town will experience an influx of visitors in the form of runners and walkers and they’re all here for the same event – The Cape Town gun run 2018. This year runners have a choice of participating in the 21km half marathon, the 10km race or the 5km fun run. Supporters will enjoy all the festivities and entertainment at the end of the race, making this annual athletic event enjoyable for all.
The Gun Run takes place on Sunday 14 October 2018 and is one of the biggest scenic road running events in Cape Town. The race ends at the Green Point rugby field on Vlei Road, with live entertainment from KFM 94.5 and a kiddies play area to keep the little ones enthralled.

A race doctor and race paramedics will be on hand to handle any medical emergencies. Two ambulances, one response vehicle and seven paramedics will patrol the route and a medical tent will be set up at the finish line.

Please Note: Do not park in any residential parking bays near the apartment on, or around the race start area on Beach Road in Mouille Point as the Traffic Department will clamp, fine and tow any illegally parked vehicles.
