How to Travel more Without Giving Up Your Full-Time Job

Having a full-time job is tough, especially for those of us who LOVE to travel! How can we maximize our holidays and relaxation time, without having to let our careers play second fiddle?  Here’s a handy guide on how to have amazing holidays without giving up your full-time job.

Take mini-vacations

Turn your weekends into small-scale holidays by going somewhere new. We’re lucky to be living in a beautiful country where adventure is usually no more than an hour’s drive away. Go on a game drive, visit a neighbouring town or enjoy a roadtrip and picnic with the family.

Combine Leave Days with Public Holidays

Make the most of your job’s “quiet days” and combine leave days with office holidays.  Did you know that you only need to apply for one day’s leave in March 2018 to holiday for a whole week? Now that’s a travel opportunity not to be missed! Take off 29 March, be back by 3 April and score yourself a decent getaway.

Grab Every Opportunity You’re Given

Boss has given you the day off on your birthday? It’s Friday afternoon and the office is dead quiet? Make it a holiday! Use this rare moment to spoil yourself with a spa treatment or lovely dinner at a new restaurant.

Embrace “Workations”

Work from virtually anywhere with the new “workation” trend. If your job allows it, head to the coast and connect to high-speed hotel Wi-Fi and presto! Your very own ocean view office, with room service…
