The Pretoria Show

The Pretoria Show is an annual agricultural and entertainment show held in spring time.

It was briefly renamed the T Show (or Tshwane Show), from 2011 onward the Spring Show, and from 2014 the Jacaranda Agricultural Show.

The show is hosted annually at the Tshwane Events Centre (previously known as the Pretoria Showgrounds) just west of the Pretoria City Centre. It is the largest springtime show in South Africa, and takes place during the last week of August to early September.

The Pretoria show started in 1939 as an agricultural show. By 1962 it had expanded to include industrial and commercial exhibitions. Today it offers a little bit of everything: livestock, arts and crafts, travel and tourism, vehicles, education and more. It’s more than just a big flea market, it’s an experience the whole family will love.

The diverse exhibits are separated by theme into the various halls on the Showgrounds. There are over 70 000m2 of indoor and outdoor exhibit areas, as well as food kiosks, arenas that host a variety of events, including the Mr and Miss Spring Show pageant and a popular fun fare.

Ticket prices vary by age and are more expensive over weekends. Tickets can be bought at the gate, or online through webtickets. An additional fee is charged for parking at the Showgrounds.
