  • Development and management of internal communications plan

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in events planning and co-ordination.
  • Relevant diploma and/or 1-2 years’ experience in Resorts marketing.
  • PC literate.
  • The ability to communicate well in written- and spoken word.
  • Innovative and self-motivated.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Packages, Promotions and Entertainment

  • To conceptualize, develop and market packages and events for the resort properties. This includes self-generated events.
    • Ensure successful execution of events. A post-mortem with ROI needs to be done for each event
    • Manage and maintain a promotional calendar for each property
  • To identify and develop packaging and sponsorship opportunities with third-party events and suppliers
  • To manage and maintain all the promotional calendars in conjunction with the relevant GM’s.
  • Build and maintain an entertainment programme for each Resort property

Competitor Analysis

  • To continually research competitor activity and promotions giving Premier Hotels & Resorts the information needed to gain the competitive edge

Websites:

  • To ensure that all information on the website is correct and up-to-date at all times in conjunction with the marketing team.
  • To ensure that the Events Calendar on the website is updated as soon as an event is booked.
  • To identify 3rd party websites that would be of benefit to the marketing the Resorts and negotiate the best possible rates and update continuously.

Branding / Signage:

  • To ensure that the specifications are adhered to at all times.
  • To maintain an effective filing and archiving process.

Invoices and administration

  • To ensure correct invoicing and payment
  • To build and maintain an effective filing system

Advertising

  • Prepare all advertising materials for events, promotions and packages in conjunction with the Brand Manager.

Promotional Items:

  • To source promotional items for any events, promotions and hospitality packages, etc. at the best possible rate, where applicable and ensure adequate stock at all times.

PR/Media/Competitions:

  • To liaise with the relevant parties, with the guidance of the Brand Manager, on any press releases, copy required for print media.
  • In the event of competitions, to ensure that all prize winners receive notification of their prizes and to ensure that all travel and accommodation arrangements are made timeously.
  • To proof read all proofs sent to marketing for sign-off before submitting these to the Brand Manager.
  • To liaise with all print media on new happenings within the group and to forward press-releases to them.
  • To monitor the news generated from the press releases and to keep copies of these on record.

Our Hotel group is looking to employ an experienced Sales administrator, to be based in Gauteng.

MAIN DUTIES

  • General sales administration, including but not limited to, answering phone calls, responding to emails, commission agreements, corporate agreements, creating templates, internal rate sheets, arranging meetings, minute taking, supplier registrations, sales trackers, reconciliation of fuel claims and compilation of weekly sales reports.
  • Office management including but not limited to cleanliness and ordering of stock and supplies
  • Overseeing Sales CRM system ensuring system integrity (up to date customer records etc)
  • Ordering of uniforms and name badges
  • Maintaining an adequate supply of business cards for the Sales team
