We are seeking an IT Technician for our properties in KZN, to provide Windows server support.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant Higher education diploma or degree
  • A+ Certification or equivalent – Advantage
  • Ability to identify and criticise solutions
  • Experienced in help-desk and remote support environments
  • Experience in the Hospitality industry will be an advantage

PERSONAL SKILLS

  • Interpersonal ability.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Motivated to learn and implement new and innovative approaches and solutions.
  • Own vehicle and driver’s licence is essential.

LOCATION: East London NATURE OF CONTRACT: Permanent BENEFITS: Provident Fund and Funeral Fund

REQUIREMENTS

  • Chef Diploma and/or 2-3 years in a steak house kitchen
  • PC literate
  • Food costing knowledge and experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recruit staff according to the budget and KPA.
  • Staff management (training, induction, etc)
  • Kitchen Management.
  • Menu costing
  • Stock takes and meeting food cost targets
  • Deal with guest complaints and resolve.
  • Maintain the security measures in the kitchen.
  • To assist the Head Chef in the maintaining of food cost percentage through control in wastage, purchasing, storing, portion control, etc
  • Compile training manuals.
  • Any adhoc duty and responsibility as given by Management.

  • Hotel/Lodge diploma.

  • Proven track record.
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar environment in a Management position.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet all guests at all times
  • Check in/out guests and offer assistance at all times
  • Arrange any requests from guests within the boundaries as stipulated by the Reserve or ensure that the team follows through
  • Finance and Lodge administration
  • Recruitment and Staff training
  • Ensure that all procedures and policies are adhered to by the team
  • Manage the float and petty cash
  • Maintain discipline in the department
  • Submit reports as needed
  • Communicate with all relevant departments at all times
  • Perform any instruction as given by Management
  • Ensure that the facilities are clean at all times
  • Maintain the Health and Safety procedures of the Lodge and the Reserve

  • Follow up on quotes sent from banqueting and reservations.
  • Prepare and handle written correspondence for the following: Rates, information and general client services.
  • Lead generation, qualification thereof and appointment scheduling via Goldmine.
  • Sales calls with the view to generate business and maintain existing relationships.
  • Conducting of site inspections at their respective units, recording thereof and ROI.
  • Accurate knowledge of product offering nationally.
  • Creative input regarding the sales strategy.
  • Submit reports as needed.
  • Meet targets as predetermined.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
